Happy Summer!

Hello all!

I just wanted to let you all know that Mrs. Warford came over to visit last week and brought me a slew of lovely gifts!  Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness!  We really appreciated it it!

Also, I wanted to let you know that I have moved my blog to a new address in case any of you wanted to continue to follow!

Dear Class...

To my wonderful friends,

I just wanted to write to all of you to thank you for being such a magnificent class this year. You make my heart soar when I think about much you've grown this year.  I am so proud of all of you for your hard work and dedication throughout the school year.  It was not always easy to get up and come into school every day while growing the baby but once you all would arrive at school, with your smiling faces and your energy, I forgot how tired I felt and really enjoyed being your teacher and your friend.  Thank you for always greeting me, "Good morning, Mrs. Weinberg."  It makes me sad that I will not be there to greet you on your final day of school and say, "Have a great summer!" but you know I'll be thinking it as I am home taking care of Jake. He has already heard of the wonderful boys and girls of Memorial School. Have a wonderful summer and I can't wait to see you all in the fall in your new role as fifth graders!!

Camp Bournedale Slips Due Thursday!!

Hello all!

Just a friendly reminder that all Camp Bournedale slips and payment is due by this Thursday, May 30th!

Memorial School Band Rocks!

Math MCAS on Monday and Tuesday!

Just a reminder that the 4th grade will be taking MCAS in math on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 8:30.  Please try to ensure that your child rests well this weekend and that they are on time to school Monday.

Students can dress comfortably and can bring:

2 healthy snacks (one for before and one for after the test)
1 piece of sugarless gum per day (if you choose)

They should have their own independent reading book to read when he or she finishes testing and others are still working.

They have been working so hard to prepare.  I am so proud!!

Supply Kits

Hello all!

A notice about supply kits for next year went home today.  Please note that all students will be provided these materials in the fall and there is no need for you to order a kit.  The PTO had contracted with this company earlier this year but we have since learned that we will NOT be needing to order these kits.

We will have a quiz on WEATHER this Friday before we head off to relax for vacation.  Students will receive their study guides to bring home tomorrow.

MCAS tomorrow and new folder day!

Good morning all!

Happy Monday and Happy April!

Please remember that tomorrow is our first day of ELA MCAS.  Get a good night's rest and bring in two healthy snacks plus a water bottle.  We will also test on Wednesday morning.

Also, going forward, please look for the Backpack Folder containing Memorial School News to come home on Mondays.  Our Friday afternoons are too busy with kids returning from Band practice to be racing to pack our folders plus I thought it'd be a nice way for you to start the week, checking out the "goings on" at Memorial.  I hope this makes keeping track of all that is going a bit easier.

We will still do our orange Friday Folders on Friday.

Let's enjoy a wonderful couple of weeks before APRIL VACATION.  Where is this year going??
